This year’s Rovinj Summer Festival is held July 17th-September 27th.
The 20th Rovinj Summer Festival opened tonight at 9pm at the Church of Saint Euphemia.
The opening night featured the Zagreb Philharmonic Orchestra with mezzo-soprano Katja Markotić and conductor and violinist Maxim Fedotov of Russia.
The festival will last until the 27th of September with stages set up around the town at the Church of St. Euphemia, the Rovinj Multimedia Centre and the Church of St. Francis on the island of St. Catherine.
Musicial artists from Turkey, Austria, Ukraine, Spain and the Croatian greats of classical music will perform at the festival throughout the summer.
The festival is sponsored by the City of Rovinj in cooperation with the Tourist Board and Maistra Hotels and is coordinated by artistic director Katja Markotić.
