Last night I cried
Tears that flowed
Of loneliness
To hold them back I tried.

Last night I cried
Frustrated in my heart
I asked God if everything was going to be okay.

My love,
He seemed distant, distraught
Feeling lost in love, wish he’d find me
Lay me down on his chest.

Last night I cried
A song only sped the tears
Down my cheeks, pillow-soaked
I wished they would dry.
